From Networks of Actions to Networks of Thoughts: The Art, and the Need, of Creating a Dialogue Among People

This paper collects sketches of our intellectual and personal journeys that Barbara Czarniawska put in an ongoing dialogue. The conversation throughout the journey stimulated joint publications, ideas embedded in individual publications, presentations of chaotic ideas, ideas never turned into publication, books and papers imagined but never meant to write. In this paper, recalling our talks with Barbara Czarniawska, we reflect upon our own thirty-year long conversation and upon Barbara Czarniawska’s imprinting on this ongoing conversation.
